Star Spangled Chips 'n' Dip

Simple Star Shaped Nacho Chips and Dip to celebrate 4th July, New Year's Eve or Bonfire Night

Equipment

  • Pastry brush
  • Dish for Olive Oil
  • Star shaped cutter
  • Greaseproof Paper and Baking Tray
  • Chopping Board [for cutting out the tortilla chips]

Ingredients

To Make 4th July Chips 'n' Dip, You Will Need:

  • Tortilla wraps - we use corn and wheat ones they're very good and taste fresh when baked.
  • Sea Salt and Black Pepper - although you can use paprika garlic salt, whatever takes your fancy!
  • Olive oil
  • Sour Cream Salsa, Guacamole, cheese, jalapeno peppers - whatever you like to cover yours in or dunk them through

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to gas mark 4, or about 350 degrees.
  • Line your baking sheet with greaseproof paper
  • Cut out the tortilla shapes and lay on the baking sheet
  • Spray with oil or use a brush to coat them lightly with oil
  • Sprinkle on seasoning of choice
  • Pop in oven for 5 minutes and monitor – stay close, because these go from golden to over baked in the blink of an eye.
  • Leave to cool and serve with salsa and sour cream, guacamole and whatever takes your fancy!
