We love toys, and take great pride in being able to showcase so many toys and games on our blog. We’re so enthusiastic about it that we’ve been invited again this year to speak at the BlogOn Toys [virtual] conference. It’s an honour to be able to encourage and support other bloggers in their product photography journey.
This year I demonstrated on the Ravensburger exhibition at the Toy Fair 2020 and took part in the demo zone with children, testing the toys. I’m adept at presenting, demonstrating and teaching games and toys to all.
Gav and I also work the tabletop gaming events – last year for Ravensburger again as Villainous and Jaws experts, and this year we enjoyed live streaming and interviewing games designer Chris Leder, about his new Back to the Future: Dice Through Time game. It was amazing – and we’re looking forward to many events next year.
And, if you’re a visitor to our blog, hello to you too! The boys and I have been fantastically lucky to review so many amazing toys, games, magazines and many other things over the past eight years – and so we’ve decided to alphabetise them below for ease of reference. Enjoy! If you’re after a chronological look at the toys and games we’ve reviewed instead and just want a browse, then the toys and games link here is the one for you.
We also do a lot more than just play with, photograph and review toys and games though – here are a few of the ways we support toy and game creators, manufacturers and distributors below.
Twitter parties are SO much fun. I get giddy when I know we’ve got one coming up. Being able to prepare for launches and then introducing new toys to everyone in a fun way, that involves the neighbours too, creates a huge buzz. We’ll decorate, prepare party snacks, play games and tweet away to our heart’s content.
We’ve hosted quite a few Twitter parties for new toys – we love to make a big noise about them, including live streaming during those featuring video games such as the Ben 10 Power Trip party for UKMums TV and Outright Games – and some in the last few months were:

This is an area we’re keen to expand this year – we have a new instagram: JonesFamilyGamesNight and we have a HUGE collection of Board Games and host a board games night every week at a local clubhouse. We’ve represented Ravensburger as Disney Villainous teachers at the UK Games Expo and Tabletop Gaming Live this year already!
