FATHER CHRISTMAS IS CALLING… PORTABLE NORTH POLE GIVEAWAY

Sharing is caring!

Father Christmas is a big deal in our home. Every one of our boys still believes and I’m incredibly grateful for that. I won’t tell you how long it was that I believed for, but let’s just say the boys have quite a way to go to beat my record. Anyhow, I’m hanging onto the magic of Christmas for as long as we possibly can. Usually we go and visit Father Christmas at Lapland UK, but last year we just couldn’t afford it – and that was when we discovered the Portable North Pole.

WHAT IS THE PORTABLE NORTH POLE [PNP]?

The Portable North Pole [PNP] is an app which is basically a hotline to Father Christmas on your phone. It bought so much snuggled up excitement to our boys when they knew they weren’t going to actually see the big man himself last year and they loved every single thing about it – especially the messages Father Christmas sent to me and Daddy too. Daddy’s mostly told him to behave and be kind to me. Hahaha.

As soon as we start to use it, I’ll upload the reaction cam here as we don’t have any from last year, and if I start talking about Father Christmas with the boys now, as much as I love everything jingle bells, I’ll be losing mine by the time advent rolls around. So on December 1st, you can pop back here and I’ll have something up – and on our Twitter too most probably. If you’re the winner of the Magic Pass on here [see below!], you can tinker about to your heart’s content until you’re ready to let Santa into your home via the Portable North Pole.

WHAT CAN YOU DO ON THE PORTABLE NORTH POLE PNP APP?

Well, it depends on the pass which you have – there are three. They grant access to different videos for different lengths of time – the Ultimate Pass lasts TEN YEARS!

  • Video Pass £9.99
  • Magic Pass £12.99
  • Ultimate Pass £34.99

We’ve been using the Magic Pass – and you can win your very own Magic Pass at the end of this post!

WHAT’S SO SPECIAL ABOUT THE PNP?

REACTION CAM FROM PNP

Well, I have my own selfish reasons for using it. You see, it’s perfect for capturing and bottling those moments of magic in childhood without having to stick your camera or phone in their face and ruin the moment – the reaction cam built into the app does it for you. When Father Christmas calls, their little faces are captured to your camera roll without you having to yell “SMILE AT FATHER CHRISTMAS!”. These are genuine, straight from their little heart reactions. I want to save them all and I can watch them over and over when they stop believing in the magic. Or you can watch them over the rest of the Christmas holiday, so that you can cry at how sweet they are, and remind yourself how lovely they can be when they’re all not squabbling and driving you crazy.

FATHER CHRISTMAS IS THERE WHEN YOU NEED HIM

If your little one is having a hard time at school, feeling glum, Father Christmas is there ready to tell them how proud he is of them, how he sees them doing good things – and it can turn a day around instantly. There is no one [besides Mickey Mouse, My Mom and Dad] who I’d rather be cheered up by.

On the flip side, I have a friend who firmly believes in the power of Father Christmas in keeping her little ones in line. You know…the list. Father Christmas likes to check that list – and call if you need a little help remembering that it’s good to be kind.

SIGN UP FOR THE FREE PORTABLE NORTH POLE VIDEO CALL

So at the moment, there are only paid videos available at the Portable North Pole – but later in the year, closer to the big day, free videos will be available! If you hop over to the PNP website, you can sign up for an alert so you don’t miss this.

FOR THE BIG PEOPLE ONLY

THE PARENTS’ CORNER FOR ARRANGING CONTACT

What’s lovely about the app is that there is an area for parents only – so that you can see what’s behind the scenes, so to speak, and arrange the parts that you need to. There’s a code which you can use to switch backwards and forwards between the two parts of the app – be careful to do this if it’s on your phone and your children have relatively free access to it like ours do.

THERE ARE OTHER PRODUCTS IN THE PNP RANGE

We have a very cute husky [Okida] and a really lovely storybook called 24 sleeps until Santa from last year which are still available on the site. We LOVED this book as it’s designed to be read every day until Christmas Eve and the boys looked forward to reading the next bit every night. Check out the PNP site for more details – it’s lovely to look around and makes you feel all festive!
