So whilst I’ve been away for a couple of weeks, attracting and repelling germs and other delights, we have also been having a great deal of fun and now it’s time to catch up on what we were up to! Over Hallowe’en we decided to have a little daytime party. In Spring we have…
It’s November. Which, according to my boys, means that it’s fair game to start decorating for Christmas, talking about Christmas and so I’m pretty sure that in Blogland, it’s safe to deck the virtual halls – or at least start getting the Christmas preparation posts out. This year we’re made a big bold move away…
After the official egg hunt it was time for the Easter candy party and the even more official awards ceremony, which was less of a ceremony and more of a grabbing of enormous chocolate medals off E.B’s podium (Baby Dragon’s much loved (by me) and long vacated (by Lyoto) highchair). In readiness, Momma even made…
He met the two midway. The traits of his blond big brothers; Jensen [reserved] and Lyoto [destructive] collided in late July as we finally took Baby Hero out to the wildflower meadows to smash his first birthday cake. Inquisitive yet unsure, he needed a little encouragement to sink his little fingers into the squishy chocolate…
The biggest and most highly anticipated meal of the year in our household is without a doubt the superbly indulgent Christmas dinner. Normally cooked by my husband, last year I took up the challenge and decided I would become the yuletide chef and create our celebratory feast from then onwards. Our oven will be one…
There’s no doubt that Autumn has arrived here in the South, clad in rich jewel toned sweaters and crisp leafy trousers. The trees are more beautiful than ever, conkers are beginning to litter the mossy woodland floors and the skies are startling blue. I love all of the seasons for the activities and memories that…
Bless him! Such beautiful photos too.
How lovely! What a great memory to keep.
Aw so sweet. I love that they have a tree in their room too. Lovely
What a lovely thing to be able to do. I fear any Christmas trees felled round here would be from someone's garden!
Aww bless him! Such a sweet boy and amazing pictures 🙂
Aww – gorgeous – clearly a proud smile in that last photo.
As an aside, I really love the look of your blog. The header is really lovely.

Aww, how cute! I love the photos you got! They came out great! My favorite is the one with your little one carry the Christmas tree on their back!! Love it!
This is such a heartwarming post! I love the pics. I am growing a Christmas tree to use in a couple of years too!
I am LOVING all your pictures. We have a place right up the street (literally) that sells trees, so we usually just pick one out and walk it home. I would love to chop one down someday.
That's a great tradition to have! I love the pictures and I am sure he was very excited to get his very own tree. It's a shame that a disease has destroyed all the rest of the trees!
What a beautiful family you have! Living in the city my whole life this is something I never got to experience, like EVER. I can't wait for our move so my daughter can have memories like this. You took such beautiful photos too, a shame you couldn't score a big family tree, but it's nice your boys will have their own tree this year! Lucky!
Aww. Look at him with his freshly cut tree. What a cute little man!
This brought a tear to my eye. What a wonderful right of passage. That is the most adorable little tree, too!
