INCREDIBLE SUMMER

Whilst secretly Gav and I are on the countdown to our trip to Disneyland Paris with the boys [they still have no idea], our whole house is on official, public countdown to July 13th when Disney•Pixar’s Incredibles 2 bursts onto the cinema!  I’ll be buying my Maltesers [and then having them pilfered by everyone] to watch it in comfort at our Cinema de Luxe in Southampton in just a few short weeks!

If you were watching our Instagram Stories this week you’ll have seen Hero reading the note from Mickey Mouse as the boys have just been sent some Disney stories to add to our collection for the start of Disney Book Week in a few days – including Incredibles 2!  Today though, there’s been even more amazing Disney news from the Disney Channel!

The launch of Incredible Summer, kicking off on 23^rd July!

The Disney Channel is treating it’s 6-11 year old audience [Hero claims he’s 3 and nearly 6] with a fantastic collection of BRAND NEW content and most loved classic movies this summer, with new shows and premiere episodes airing every. single. day. across SEVEN weeks. SEVEN!  That’s all of the Summer holiday!  I might just get some work done!  Woo hoo!

INCREDIBLES 2

To celebrate the release of Disney•Pixar’s Incredibles 2, the 2004 blockbuster The Incredibles [how has it been 14 years since it was released?!?] will air the same day as the new cinema release on Disney Channel at 5.35pm – so if you can’t make it to the cinema until Saturday, this is the perfect preparation ready for the Incredibles 2, and to begin the countdown to Incredible Summer on July 23rd.

What can we expect from Disney Channel’s Incredible Summer?

• Season Two Launch of Raven’s Home – Raven and the entire family learn that her son Booker has inherited her ability to catch glimpses of the future. Like his whole-hearted and watchful mum, Booker can only get a peek at what’s to come, but it’s just enough to drive each of them to interfere with the anticipated outcome.

• New Season 2 Episodes of Andi Mack – still following the journey of self-discovery for teenager Andi,  series 2 explores the relationships she has with her family and friends. The coming-of-age story sees Andi trying to determine where she fits in and the many amazing ways she can live her life, following a family revelation on her 13^th birthday.

• Brand new series Bug Juice: My Adventures at Camp –  After almost 20 years, Disney Channel is returning to Camp Waziyatah to capture the authentic adventures of a group of kids aged 10-12 as they head to summer camp, join in exciting and challenging outdoor activities, establish tight bonds and create unforgettable memories.

• Disney Channel premiere of DuckTales [every time I read DuckTales I start singing the tune in my head, especially after watching the goings on during Disneyland Paris’ FanDaze] chronicling the high-flying adventures of Duckburg’s most famous trillionaire, Scrooge McDuck; his mischief-making triplet grandnephews – Huey, Dewey and Louie; temperamental nephew, Donald Duck; and the trusted McDuck Manor team.
• Much-loved animated movie classics, including Mulan and Aladdin

• Never-before-seen animated shorts! [My favourite – remember Lava? I still cry every time I see it]
