Week two of 2019’s Floating Boats, Sinking Ships and it’s STILL cold in Hampshire. I’ve worn my scarf every day of the school run. Still, before I get into everything, I have a good feeling about this past week – there were quite a few Floating Boats I’m sure, and not too many Sinking Ships.
Back to school has been quite uneventful – no drama, no nonsense.
Jens and Lyoto had friends over on Friday after school – there was pizza [who knew you could track the actual “pizza man” right to your door?] and a poor delivery guy who was told off for taking his time by five little boys in desperate need of Domino’s staring at him, Mario on the Switch and lots of giggles.
On Saturday, Gav took the boys to have their hair cuts at last – they all came back looking delicious and Hero even got a little spiky bit at the front of his hair which he was obsessed with. On Sunday morning we headed out to Farley Mount as I needed to get some photos for our Johnson’s Baby ambassadorship, and the boys decided that they wanted some make believe photos [post coming up]. After we got home it was cooked cheese [grilled cheese sandwiches] and we headed out to our neighbour’s house for a games afternoon where we played Gloom and a new game called Diptix that was so much fun. Sadly I lost at both games, haha. I DID win, however, when Gav and I played our first game of my new Collector’s Edition of Everdell. Mwahahahaha.
I managed to take quite a few bags to the tip this week. I started watching Marie Kondo’s Tidying Up series on Netflix because I’ve read two of her books so far and it was amazing. I’ve been through and folded ALL of my clothes and thrown out so much – except now I realise that hardly any of my clothes bring me joy and so I’ll either be sporting the same clothes over and over OR I’ll be naked. Which won’t be fun given the temperature outside.
I got Hero’s deferment application posted on time! I’m nervous now to see what happens next but at least we’ve tried.
My media pass for the Toy Fair 2019 came through! This will be the first year I make it to the event and I’m so excited to see what’s coming up.
My anthropologie order turned up, and my LEGO order that got sent back made a reappearance too.
My tooth is still playing me up – waaaah – and now my eyes have joined the party and are giving me a constant headache. I may actually need to get to a healthcare person now.
I’m having limited success with decluttering – Hero has Gav’s suspicious gene and wants to go through each bag I’m throwing out. Plus, it seems neverending.
The next Johnson’s Ambassadors meeting, which I love going to, is on February 14th. Not just Valentine’s day but Lyoto’s birthday. He’s going to be heartbroken that I won’t be there to see him off to school or collect him, but I’ll try and make it up at the weekend. I should scrape back home just in time for bedtime and it’s Jensen’s birthday the next day. I feel so sad for him though.
Not too bad this week – far more Floating Boats than Sinking Ships!
