So you already know that we’re going to have an Incredible summer on the Disney Channel – and on July 13th, we’re expecting an INCREDIBLE film at the cinema! In “Incredibles 2,” Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is called on to lead a campaign to bring Supers back, while Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) navigates the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell), Dash (voice of Huck Milner) and baby Jack-Jack—whose superpowers are about to be discovered. Their mission is derailed, however, when a new villain emerges with a brilliant and dangerous plot that threatens everything. But the Parrs don’t shy away from a challenge, especially with Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) by their side. That’s what makes this family so Incredible.
However, we need to stay healthy too! Introducing the Disney 24 Hour Challenge!
DISNEY 24 HOUR CHALLENGE
Inspired by, and in celebration of the Disney Pixar Incredibles 2 movie release, Disney is launching its 24 Hour Challenge to inspire families everywhere to get active this summer with the chance to raise money for Unicef UK.
In case you haven’t heard of them [you very probably have!] Unicef UK is a registered charity which raises funds to protect children in danger, transform their lives and build a safer world for tomorrow’s children. They are the world’s leading organisation for children, promoting the rights and wellbeing of every child. Working in 190 countries and territories to translate that commitment into practical action, they focus special effort on reaching the most vulnerable and excluded children, to the benefit of all children, everywhere. For more information please visit unicef.org.uk
The 24 Hour Challenge features 24 free Incredibles themed activity missions for families and teams to complete together, over the summer with Incredible Challenge Plans to get us all started easily and quickly at the speed of Dash! You can track your progress at www.24hourchallenge.com!
The 24 Hour Challenge was actually launched on 13 June 2018 by Disney UK and whilst they were starting to encourage families to be more active together this summer with a chance to support Unicef UK’s work, we were catching up with the Incredibles themselves in Paris and walking, running and skipping our way to fitness! We’ve completed our 24 hours of physical activity and then some!
Even superheroes need a little boost – and all of the missions are inspired by the Parr Family’s superpower skills and there are 24 fun, active “missions’‘ such as Super Dance Off with Elastigirl, Super Selfie Treasure Hunt, and the Incredible Monkey Bar Mission to complete over the summer.
SO HOW CAN YOU TAKE PART?
It’s Incredibly [sorry] easy! Families and friends can create teams of between two to 10 people and set up their own 24 Hour Challenge page via www.24hourchallenge.com. Families who log their time every week will have a chance of winning incredible prizes, including 10 weekly prize bundles worth £75 each and, if they complete all 24 hours, a holiday to Disneyland Paris to experience and take part in the Magic Run Weekend from 21st – 23rd September 2018. The medals [Disney Bling as we call them in our family] are fanastic!
To further help motivate teams to go further this summer, all money raised from the Disney 24 Hour Challenge by families taking part in the challenge will go to Unicef UK to help provide children with clean water, life-saving food, vaccines, and a safe space to grow up happy and healthy.
So go! Sign up to the Disney 24 Hour Challenge www.24hourchallenge.com. and have an Incredible Summer!
