It’s time to catch up with the week and look back on the good and the not so wonderful things in our lives. I like doing this post this year – and miraculously I’ve managed to keep up so far – because it’s holding me accountable to record the everyday moments, whether they’ve been photographed or not.
We survived the Beaver Sleepover! On Saturday, Yotie, Jens and I headed out to the Scout Hut for a Disney Pixar’s Up! themed Beaver Sleepover. I was in charge of crafts this time and we made little Kevin birds. So cute. We played rounders in the blistering cold thanks to Gav sorting our team out [we are not well known for our organised sports prowess], roasted marshmallows and cooked our hot dogs over a fire. I froze on a painful campbed whilst the boys were snuggled up in tents. Many lessons were learned by me for next time on a “personal care” note. Haha.
Jens enjoyed his trip to Butser Ancient Farm, despite saying BUTTser hilariously about a million times before going. He made a little copper ring and a kind of cave drawing on chalk using grass and stones, as they’re learning about the Stone Age at school this term.
My MRI date has come through – and it’s a few days after my birthday! I’ve been managing to walk Hero to preschool this week, although I’ve had to ask him to go in the pram as I’m fine walking and holding his hand, but without him I walk home like a drunk. At least with an empty pram I have something to guide me. Haha.
Black Panther goodies have arrived at our house from the Disney Company. They are super cool and I’ll post about them soon.
Hero received the sweetest parcel from Usbourne Books. We’re huge fans of theirs and Hero has a pretty big collection of their famous “That’s Not My…” collection – and now we have two more for Spring and a little Bunny book too, which is gorgeous. They make brilliant Easter basket fillers – and they’ll be on here soon too.
You guessed it…I’m still off balance. I’m actually learning to live with it after two months now, but I can’t wait to be fixed [fingers crossed].
No matter where I look, I cannot find my registration document for the old car. I need it to dispose of the car, and it’s disappeared. It’s driving me crazy. Edit: I found it! Happy dances all round here!
Giving up biscuits again is hard. I want to eat them all. Or Maltesers.
