George Pig might be Hero and Lyoto’s favourite piggy, but his big sister Peppa Pig comes a close second. We love Peppa – and especially when she teaches us things. The boys have been testing out the Peppa’s Alphaphonics Campervan toy this week as Lyoto took his first steps through the door to big school, and wants to know how to spell e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g.
The Peppa’s Alphaphonics Campervan is a fun electronic toy with eight games to choose from to learn and practice phonics, spelling and the alphabet. The games are easy for your little one to select from the top bar on the camper van:
- Find a letter for Peppa
- Find the first letter of a word for Peppa
- Spell a word for Peppa [Jensen’s favourite]
- Copy Peppa [Lyoto loves this game]
- Find an character or object on a key [the little sticker pictures]
Easier games for Hero on Peppa’s Alphaphonics Campervan, who is two and wants to be like his brothers, are:
- Pressing a key to hear the sound and word on the sticker
- Pressing a key to hear the letter name and phonetic sound
That it’s durable – and made of what we call Peppa Plastic in our house – it’s a different kind to that which most toys are made of, and doesn’t feel like it will crack if dropped [hasn’t yet]!
Batteries were included! When they run out, it’s 3 x AAA.
How Peppa corrects your mistakes in games
That the keys light up when pressed.
That the noise isn’t so loud as to be annoying
That it had an off switch! We travelled back from Wales with Peppa snorting in the back on and off for about 4 hours.
Peppa’s Alphaphonics Campervan is available at Argos, we were sent the product in exchange for an honest review.
