We all have someone special in our lives that we cherish, adore and just want to spoil on special occasions – yet often it’s difficult to find a gift that expresses just how much they mean to us, because, well, there’s not much inspiration out there on the high street, and Google-hunting the perfect gift takes time if you don’t know what you’re looking for in the first place.
This Christmas as I ventured out on our annual present buying trip with the mister, I realised that most of the confectionary gifts on offer were exactly the same as they were last year. It was bleak and creating Christmas magic was going to be difficult without a some creativity put in.
The sun set and closing time came, and we found ourselves sat in traffic for an hour on the way home, empty handed for my own Mum, a packet of nuts we’d argued over for my Father in Law and the not even a whisper of an idea for the mister. Not fun at all – the giving season isn’t so much fun sometimes.
This year we’re taking a stand. No more mass-produced, overpriced gifts. We’re seeking out the unique, the truly special, the smile-makers in our country to put the surprise back into celebrations. Let’s spend our money on gifts that will be treasured and adored…and devoured!
We have some fantastic people already working with us – and if you’d like to join us and showcase your talents, get in touch – firstname.lastname@example.org. Our first feature comes later this week with sumptuous scrumminess from Chantal at Love Brownies.
