As I’m relatively new to blogging, I am continually behind when I finally manage to post about holidays and special occasions. Like Christmas for instance. Or Valentine’s Day (at least I have a one year old excuse for that one). So last night I started preparing for St. Patrick’s Day.
No, we’re not Irish. No, we don’t even live in Ireland ~ but I have visited and stayed with a friend whilst I was at law school, so maybe that counts as a point on my license application to celebrate this holiday.
So why are we celebrating it? Well, it’s fun. It also provides the opportunity for a little learning for Jensen. What’s not to like about gaining some geography knowledge?
So we’re off to a small, slow start. We decided late last night that as our Little Adventurer loved the Christmas elves so much (Mistletoe and Merrybright), Leprechauns were probably the best hook we could offer for a three year old. And so, he was born. Dublin the Leprechaun.
I’m off to search for shamrock cookie cutters… Slán libh!
If you’d like a little letter for your children, just drop me a line through my coffee cup at the top!
