The Pumpkin Patch we go to isn’t open until next weekend and so to
cope with our sad lack of pumpkin carving, I decided to get a little
creative and see if some of the ideas I see and smile at on Pinterest
actually work. This one was so simple to do and Our Little Adventurer
adores the finished product ~ although he loved watching it be created
also (due to the mess) 😉
You will need a pumpkin….
I saw on Pinterest that the crayons are to be glued on. I couldn’t find
any glue that would be strong enough in our house, and also I wondered
if I would end up with clumps of it stuck on our pumpkin. So, with a few
holes in my fingers and a few choice words yelled at the appropriate
times, I managed to get the crayons into the pumpkin.
I hair dried it. The wax seemed to be splattering everywhere but on my
beautiful gourd. When we were finished it thankfully appeared that some
of it did stay on.
That’s it, folks. All there was to it. It’s the funkiest pumpkin I’ve seen in our house, and someone loves it…
What are you doing with your pumpkins this year? We’d love to see!
