Jensen was never a napping baby. He took maybe 5 minutes here and there, but there was never any Gina Ford-esque nap time that I could count on ~ and it wasn’t for lack of trying. At around 18 months I finally managed to get him to have around two hours in the middle of the day (most days) and somehow we’ve managed to carry that on.
Before Baby Lyoto arrived, Jensen needed cuddles to fall asleep. Now however, he has somehow transformed into a self-sleeper, but his locations are more varied than the normal. Today he was curled behind my head, watching Krypto the Superdog. So cute. I’ve since moved him of course 😉
I love watching him sleep. He’s so warm and snuggly. And when he does need a cuddle, he cuddles back. I love that. I’ll never grow tired of it. This morning he left Dadda asleep to come and cuddle with me and Lyoto. Bliss. Aside from the talking, that is. We need to work on our “Early Morning Voices”. Poor Baby Lyoto is not a morning person and likes to sleep in, but he doesn’t stand much of a chance with our lively little adventurer, who bounces joyfully into the morning with a Stitch cup full of apple juice.
Still, thank heavens for naps…..and little nappers too.
(In the background you can see my laundry, getting the third wash of the morning thanks to the weather. I am so backed up in here with clean, wet laundry that I’m leaving it there for a while. Nice, huh?)
