We decided to make flapquacks this morning (according to Jensen Indiana) as it’s miserable outside again. The rain is bucketing out of the sky and my clothes hanging on the line to dry are wetter than when I hung them out. Oh well. A friend of mine made flapjacks a few weeks ago and ever since I’ve been meaning to make them with Jensen.
With Baby Lyoto in his lamby cradle swing, we followed a recipe that we found online. Mainly because I have Golden Syrup in my pantry.
Some Mommas “let the children help” by stirring the pot once or twice.
In our kitchen, it’s access (nearly) all areas. Jensen is smart, knows what “hot!” is and if you tell him you’re opening the oven, he stands right back against the cupboards. That makes me so proud.
Anyhow, Jensen would like you all to know he was VERY hands in on this morning (see above). He loves cooking. Especially today, as early this morning, Ignatius (‘Natius according to Jensen) the highly naughty iguana onKrypto the Superdog was making helium muffins and I think Jensen is going to be a little disappointed when our flapquacks don’t make us float away too.
