It’s nearly Whitsun and we’re about to pack our bags and head to Granny and Grandad’s house as the mister has been taken away to IBM land. The boys are excited to see their cousins and celebrate their youngest cousin’s birthday party – and they’re really looking forward to visiting Thomas the Tank Engine in Thomas Land at Drayton Manor Park and Zoo again!
More importantly though, as the tiger is staring up at the title, it’s true – as ambassadors for the park, we’re delighted to offer our readers 20% off 7 days in advance tickets this Whitsun,. There is SO much to do there! We’ve never managed to do everything in one day – or three for that matter! Simple enter the code WHITB20 at checkout for your discount.
Over Whitsun, it’s Love Your Zoo week at the education centre, where you can model balloons and make animal treats from 30th May-3 June, and don’t forget to visit the gorgeous new enclosure for their tiniest little monkeys, the NEW Tamarin Trail – and get up pretty close with their amazing Sumatran tigers. Don’t forget to check out the times for the feeding shows which we nearly always end up running for as time gets away from us every time!
There are Thomas character shows to keep your little steam engine [and diesel] fans mesmerised – and the newly expanded Thomas Land in which Thomas himself hosts rides up and down his track. A word of warning though, don’t ride Toby the Tram after eating. It’s not good – and people will laugh at you especially your own family members].
If you decide to visit in June, it’s even more exciting as Drayton Manor are also expected to welcome their 50 millionth visitor to the park! If you are this one-in-50-million prize winner, the prize package consists of confetti, balloons, and lots and lots of fun – a VIP Thomasland room with refreshments and lunch overlooking Thomasland [we’ve been there, the view is amazing!], a personal visit from the Fat Controller, a personal park guide for the day and fast pass entry and exit to rides all day long! To remember your visit, you also receive a photos to collect up to four photos and a delicious mean for four at the Grill Inn restaurant. At the end of the day, you will also be presented with a FIVE year season pass with unlimited entry to the park and a special Stay and Play package for the Drayton Manor Hotel, valid for 12 months. The lucky winner also can spend a night in the presidential suite or a Thomas themed room at the on-site, four star, hotel.
So maybe you aren’t the 50,000,000th visitor – but you’re still in with a chance to enjoy 1 of the 1,000 50p tickets that the park is set to offer, too!
