DATE NIGHT SUBSCRIPTION BOX

Sharing is caring!

Each time I hear people talking about important it is to find time for themselves, “me time”, or how husbands and wives should take time to go out together, I scream on the inside a little.  Sometimes more than a little if I’m honest.  Enter the Date Night subscription box from Get A Date.

We’ve been parents since 2010 and now have three boys.  I can count the number of times we have left the house for something enjoyable together on less than my two hands.  There is no time.  Unless my mum and dad are visiting, there is no way for us to get out of the house – and even then I don’t like asking as I feel guilty whilst they’ve come to see all of us.

So, going out is impossible for us – but recently the boys have started sleeping much better.  So a couple of hours in the evening is now a real possibility for us.  However, planning something to do takes time, brain power and by the time the week is over, I’m ready to watch Elementary, eat whatever Gav has cooked and go to bed.  If I needed to plan something I’d forget anyway, or get annoyed and stressed about it.

We’ve been sent a Date Night subscription box to try out and it looks AMAZING. Every detail is planned, right down to the Spotify playlist.  Hero took a look through our upcoming date night supplies in the box and was pretty impressed. Date Night subscription box  Date Night subscription box

  1. Oh wow, that sounds perfect for me and my husband. Our daughter is now six, but we don’t like the idea of leaving her with a babysitter (unless it’s family), so we haven’t had the chance to go out either. Our datenights happen in our lounge, with a dvd and maybe a glass or two of wine 🙂

  2. These boxes sound like a brill idea for busy parents – sometimes we just need a nudge in the right direction to focus on us as a couple again. x

  3. Sounds intriguing….my folks are lucky and get more ‘me & us time’ than most 🙂 This would be good for them too

  4. I absolutely think it’s important to make time for you as a couple when you’ve had kids and we’ve always tried to do something just the two of us. it’s much easier now that my two are a little older.
